MEMS Test Engineer
Proteus Biomedical is seeking a MEMS Test Engineer to work on the development of MEMS devices for disease management and patient monitoring applications. The role of the MEMS Test Engineer is to lead the development of a comprehensive quality/testing/reliability program for a new line of MEMS devices developed and manufactured at our Redwood City and Hayward facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop electrical, mechanical, and electrochemical test protocols to assess performance, reliability, and yield of devices
Identify, procure, setup, and maintain test equipment
Perform tests, apply statistical analysis, and report/present results on a regular basis
Work closely with R&D, process engineering, and failure analysis labs to perform root cause analysis and formulate corrective action plans for device failures
Work closely with R&D, process engineering, and failure analysis labs to establish process monitors and controls in the manufacturing process to enhance yield/reliability
Education and Experience:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or related area
Master's or Ph.D. preferred
Minimum 2 years (MS/PHD) or 5 years (BS) experience in reliability / yield / testing in one of the following: medical devices, MEMS, optical devices, or integrated circuits
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with IC/electronic electrical test methods / equipment, failure analysis techniques (SEM/FIB/EDX), and statistical analysis methods/software
A team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Experience with a high-volume manufacturing process or commercialized product is a plus
Prior experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable but not required: wafer process engineering / micro fabrication, electrochemical devices (batteries, sensors)
